Automation is valuable, but only when it removes the right kind of repetition. Some workflows are still better handled with a simple checklist while the process is maturing.

Volume matters

A task repeated many times each week usually deserves more system support than a task handled once or twice a month.

Stability matters even more

If the process is still changing constantly, automating it too early can lock in confusion. In those cases, a clear checklist can be the better short-term tool.

Automate only what the team can still understand

The best operational systems remain explainable. If an automation becomes mysterious, teams stop trusting it and start working around it.
